Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice document file format.
  • A copy of submission file in pdf format is prepared to be attached in the field "Supplementary File" in Step 4.
  • The text adheres to the bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • Spell and grammar checks have been performed.

Author Guidelines

General guidelines:

  1. The articles should be written in English and include an abstract and five keywords;
  2. Recommended length is 4.000-5.000 words (or 20.000-30.000 characters including spaces);
  3. The references and in-text citations should be in accordance with the APA style;
  4. Authors are responsible for the English spell and grammar checks;
  5. To ensure double-blind review process, omit information about the author(s), affiliation, country and email in the .docx and .pdf files. However, these data should be filled out in the online journal system;
  6. We accept on-line submissions only.


Formatting guidelines:

  1. Authors should use the ALA template.


Submission of a manuscript is a five-step process:

Step 1: Select the appropriate section for this submission (Research Articles/Book reviews etc.); Check off the submission checklist (listed below); Comments for the Editor (optional);

Step 2: Upload submission file without personal information;

Step 3: Enter Metadata (Author, Title and Abstract, Keywords, References, Supporting Agencies);

Step 4: Upload supplementary file in pdf format;

Step 5: Finish submission.



  1. There are several online APA citation tools available, for example Son of Citation Machine and KnightCite.
  2. English abstracts and keywords will be translated to Slovene by Acta Linguistica Asiatica.
